Been watching Evangeline the last couple days - gonna give it a shot.

Lone speed looks like PRINCESS DOODLEBUG.

Race 4
FROSTY COCO blew away a state bred field in his first try for Desormeaux, then threw out a dud in the mud. He then got into trouble and couldn't handle a mile in his most recent. Back to sprinting and definitely has excuses for his last two - I think he's going to wire 'em tonight. I also like STAR SPY who looks to be in very good form right now and is racing at his preferred distance.
The bet: $20 W #8 $5 ex box 1-8

We got 4-1 on the wire to wire winner - nice job by the frosty one

Race 5
There's a lot to like about DIABLO'S AISLE, but not at 9-5. I'll look to the outside and a speed horse, POWER, JR. He might get a challenge and be forced to work a little harder than I'd like, but he'll almost certainly get the lead and this IS his easiest test yet.

Race 6
EAGLESFIELD is by far the class of this soft bunch, but at odds-on I'll have to find the rest of the exacta. WHO'D BELIEVE IT looks most likely as he's got the ability to close into what looks to be a bunch of cheap early speed.
The bet: $20 exacta 1-6 $8 exacta 6-1

Race 7
There's something fishy about YANKEE TRIAL here. Limped home as the favorite only 6 days ago and now Leggio stretches him out a notch and wheels him right back at the same price. His best is certainly enough so I'll take a cautious chance here since there's not much else that excites me.

CHRISTY'S SECRET has run her best races at a mile and has shown she can handle this level. Gets a weight advantage and I expect a big effort at a nice price on the stretchout.

CATCHING UP should be able to use that sprint off the bench to springboard to a nice run today. No works since last race add to my interest.
